Gde su team approached SpiceFactory with an idea to bring Tinder like experience on a close proximity inside clubs. We started defining business requirements and doing customer development to uncover the huge potential the app could also bring for the clubs.
The social networking app showed great potential for bars, restaurants, and clubs to advertise and get noticed, as well as serve as a live audience engagement application.
During the design of the app, we needed to create a mechanism to cache relevant information so they can be displayed when the user is offline. We wanted to avoid the app having to contact the server all the time i.e. use the internet.
We also needed to enable monitoring and tracking of the app usage analytics with tools like Google Analytics and Flurry. The app needed to perform extremely well while saving battery life and cell phone data.
Wireframing is one of the most important steps in defining UX at SpiceFactory.
During this phase of product design, we often combine flow definitions to put things in perspective and visualize how the application states communicate with each other.
SpiceFactory delivered a fully functional app (Android/iOS) that delighted the users and club owners.
We saw immediate growth of the user base, especially among the female population (unexpectedly!!) and through word of mouth.
